New coach spotlight: Danny Ho

This is the sixth of many spotlights on new coaches at Sweetwater High School for the 2021-22 year.

Coaching position: Assistant football (linebackers); powerlifting; will also be teaching special education

Years in coaching: This is his first year

Education: Graduated from Wichita Falls City View High School in 2017 and earned kinesiology degree from Abilene Christian University in spring of 2021; played football (outside linebacker) at Abilene Christian University

Personal background: Native of Wichita Falls; single; parents Johnny and Pham are from what was then known as South Vietnam (now Vietnam) before settling in Texas during the 1980s after they were married

Notable: He found about the opening at Sweetwater through current offensive coordinator Brian Hodnett who he had known since his high school football days
