R. D. Moore 91, of Sweetwater passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at Sweetwater Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Kevin Shipp and Rev. Richard Acuna officiating. Interment will follow at Blackwell Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home. A visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, September 27, 2021 at the funeral home. R. D. was born September 3, 1930 in Caldwell County, TX to the late William Avery and Tiny (Snyder) Moore. He married Joyce (McBryde) Hampshire on July 3, 2000 in Sweetwater. R. D. worked for 41 years as a clerk for Santa Fe Railroad. R. D. is survived by his wife Joyce Moore of Sweetwater; son Russell Moore and wife Pam of Sweetwater; daughter Penny Eivens and husband Johnny of Sweetwater; daughter Donice Benningfield and husband Jackie of Henderson, TX.; daughter in law Doris Moore of Grants, NM.; grandchildren Misty Mosher and husband Anvil of Loraine, Jessica Eivens of Sweetwater, James Eivens and wife Kristi of Sweetwater, Randy Stevens and Fiancee` Shalee of Little Elm, TX., Shelby White and husband Ryan of Sweetwater, Tina Bilbrey and husband Chase of Dallas, TX., Stephanie Gillmore and Teresa Deckard of Gainesville, TX., Carla Fortune and husband Ray of Arlington, TX., Stacey Benningfield of Waco, TX., Steven Benningfield of Henderson, TX., Scott Benningfield and wife Jessica of Henderson, TX., Shea Benningfield and wife Staci of Henderson, TX.; twenty seven great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Maxine Moore in January of 2000, son Robert Moore in 2019, two borthers and a sister. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
