LINDA SUE SUTTON

Linda Sue Sutton, 81, of Sweetwater passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at her home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 27, 2021 at Bethel Assembly with Rev. Carter Edmonson officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home. A family and friend’s visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Sue was born February 17, 1940 at Longworth, Texas to the late Willie L. and Willa Mae (Christopher) Gardner. Sue married Donald R. “Buddy” Sutton February 1, 1958 at Sweetwater. Buddy passed away December 4, 2019. Buddy and Sue were owners of Buddy’s Testers for 50 plus years and she was a homemaker. Sue is survived by her daughters; Kathy Sutton and James of Abilene, Donna Johnson of Sweetwater, Lynn Sutton Garrett and Jeff of Sweetwater and Brenda Williams and Monte of Sweetwater. She is also survived by her brother; Leon Gardner of Sylvester, sisters; Jane Chew of Abilene and Doris Squires and Winford of Carrollton, Texas, her grandchildren; Trey Sutton and Lana, Casey Sutton and Tabitha, Mike Smith, Jake Smith and Jessica, Tosha Barnes and Thomas, Tisha Forbes and Toby, Reccie Cox and Truston, Brandt Stevens, Brandon Stevens, and Braydon Sutton and 15 great-grandchildren. Sue is also preceded in death by her son; Danny Ray Sutton, sons-in-law; Darren Stevens and A.J. Johnson, brothers; Donald, Jim, Sonny, Ronnie and Terry Gardner and sisters; Billie, Darline Schoonover, Peggy Eaton, Wanda (Jo) Faught, Sandra Estes and June Squires. Pallbearers will be R.D.
