Sweetwater Police Department Mourns Death of K9

The Sweetwater Police Department is mourning the loss of K9 Officer Dana. She was approximately 8 years old when she died on November 10, 2021.

Dana served with her first handler for approximately two years. She then served with Officer Caleb Norman for approximately five years. Throughout her years of service, Dana developed probable cause for many vehicle searches, leading to the discovery of narcotics.

“Dana was not only a work partner for her handlers, but a member of their families,” Officer Caleb Norman said.
