S C HEAD

S C Head, age 82, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 3, 2021 at Normandy Avenue Church of Christ with Mike Ensminger officiating. Burial will follow at Slater’s Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M..

S C was born on November 17, 1939 in Eskota, Texas to Ninnie Burke and Carrie Edna (Jones) Head. He married Emmie Earlene Shaffer on June 3, 1961 in Sweetwater, Texas. He worked for Sweetwater Cotton Oil Mill for many years before retiring. He was a longtime member of Normandy Avenue Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Emmie Earlene Head of Sweetwater, Texas, sons, Ronnie Head and wife Karla of Snyder, Texas, and Ricky Head of Sweetwater, Texas, five grandchildren, Alicia Rausch & fiance John Morgan, Stacy Head, Holly Adames, Aaron Head & wife Ashley, and Hannah Head, eight great grandchildren, Shelby, Daisie, Karly, Rylan, Bryce, Lane, Kylie and Brooklyn, one great great grandchild, Kace, brothers, Hollis Head of Sweetwater, Texas, Dalton Head and wife Dianne of Buffalo Gap, Texas, sister, Christina Walker of Sweetwater, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Randal Walker and wife Darlene.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ninnie & Carrie Head, two brothers, Junior Head and Clarence Head, two sisters, Nelda Bond, and Clematine Wilson, granddaughter, Krista Bounds and grandson-in-law, Stephen Adames.

Pallbearers will be Benny Carrington, Dale Critz, Russel High, Mark Jones, Skeet Kimbrell, and Ken Nevins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clem Howard, Bob Kreidel, Terry Henson, Tracy Jeter, and Wesley Harris.
