JUDITH GREEN JUDITH GREEN KATHY JANELL WITT DEZEKIEL CYDARIUS AVILA

Judith Ann Green, 70, of Sweetwater, TX, passed away on November 24, 2022 at her home with her grandson by her side after a very brave battle with cancer.Judy was born in Sweetwater on October 3, 1952 to Eva Anderson and James Barker. After she finished Sweetwater High School, she moved to Las Vegas, NV and later lived in Newbury Park, CA before returning to Sweetwater many years later. Judy was known for her beauty, kindness, intelligence, her love of family and her incredible sense of humor. Judy loved nature, was a fierce protector of children and animals, had a green thumb and a knack for finding treasures amongst the ordinary.Judy saw the world through a unique lens that she graced us with through her art. She was a talented artist who expressed her creativity through painting, sculpting and photography. A regular contributor to her Around Sweetwater Group, her iPhonography appeared in several photography publications. She leaves behind her daughter, Stacie Frazier, her grandson Austin and his wife Gabby, and her great grandchildren, Riley, Ethan, Evelyn and Fallon Frazier, her father James Barker and his wife Melinda and “Alice”, all of whom will miss her dearly. Judy was preceded in death by her mother Eva Anderson July 23, 2006. A viewing at McCoy Funeral Home is scheduled for Tuesday, November,29, 2022 ,from 5pm-7pm. A graveside service will be held at Sweetwater Cemetery on Wednesday, November 30th at 1p.m. with Pastor John Swift officiating. Interment will follow directed by McCoy Funeral Home. Kathy Janell Witt, 56, passed away on Thursday, November 24th 2022 with her family by her side. A memorial service for Kathy will be held on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 at 1:30 P.M. at Fourth and Elm Church of Christ. Doctor Michael Harbour will be officiating service. There will be a family visitation on Monday, November 28th, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at McCoy Funeral Home.

Kathy was born in Jacksboro, Texas on October 20th, 1966 to parents Kenneth and Linda Taylor. She graduated from Early High School and went on to get her BA in Education from Angelo State University. She married Jamie Witt on August 2nd, 1986 in Early, Texas. Kathy taught at Sweetwater ISD for 24 years, teaching at both middle school and high school. Kathy loved baking, she started baking at the age of 13 years old and baked over 43 years. She loved riding motorcycles and traveling with her husband. She was a advocate for the environment.

Survivors are: Husband: Jamie Witt, Children: Sara Taylor Witt and fiancée Janeth Johnson of Crowley, TX, Amy Kathleen Witt and husband Stephen Ashworth of Crowley, TX, Jeremy Witt of Lubbock. Parents: Kenneth and Linda Taylor of Brownwood, TX, Brothers: Randy Taylor of Brownwood and Dudley Taylor of Brownwood, Numerous Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

In Lieu of flowers, the Family ask that donation of a tree to be planted, Donation to the American Cancer Society of a charity of their choice be made.

Dezekiel Cydarius Avila, 2 ½ weeks old, infant son of Jonnissa Scarberry and Daniel Avila, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, TX. Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (Holy Spirit Parish) with Father Nilo Nalugon officiating. Interment will follow directed by McCoy Funeral Home. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 6:30 P.M. and a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. will be recited by Deacon David Mendez Tuesday, November 29th at McCoy Chapel of Memories.
